This Mental Health Awareness Week, the employees in Bedford took time to prioritise our mental wellbeing.
The theme for Mental Health Awareness Week this year is anxiety. Anxiety is a normal emotion in us all, but it can sometimes get out of control and become a mental health issue.
Our Mental Health First Aid team in Bedford, ran some “mind-relieving” activities to help support those suffering from anxiety, which included:
- A daily 20-minute wellness walk, to help stay energised and boost our mental alertness, energy and positive mood.
- A confidential chat with a Mental Health First Aider, so staff have the opportunity to remove any tension that they may be facing in their work or personal environments.
We are pleased to say that overall, the Aliaxis UK team have nearly 30 trained Mental Health First Aiders situated across the different sites, which are happy to support and lend an ear to their colleagues.
If you are in crisis and need to talk right now, there are many national helplines staffed by trained people ready to listen.
They won't judge you and could help you make sense of what you're feeling. Click here to learn more.
